Abstract

This reflection is about the design roll as a tool for meet challenges related to the convivence with the environment and the humanity. The purpose is scrutinizing aspects that would be keys in order to promote the education of future designers generation prepared for this challenge. With this purpose, is necessary to establish contemporary comprehensions in relation with science, technology, technique and design, this time, from a nuanced perspective, which could house the new complexity involved in these concepts in relations with nature, with production, with the culture of use and consume, nowadays seen from a intercultural perspective. Later, the article, in the educational context try to make some relationships between the intercultural perspective and design students, due to they have a responsibility for countersignature or change the use and consumption patterns, as well as their involvement in the production; and derived from them, their action´s impact on nature.

    Diseñador Industrial de la Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano (1996), Magíster en Pedagogía de la Tecnología de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (2003). Fue Coordinador Académico UJTL (2008) Coordinador Curricular de Diseño en la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (2007); docente en las universidades Pedagógica Nacional, Jorge Tadeo Lozano, Javeriana; en Ecuador, en la Pontificia Universidad Católica y Universidad Cristiana Latinoamericana. Ha sido par evaluador de proyectos de investigación. Miembro del grupo Educación-Pedagogía-Diseño (COL0080292) y ha dirigido varios proyectos financiados por la UJTL. Su experticia aborda las implicaciones epistemológicas, tecnológicas, pedagógicas y psicogenéticas con el diseño. Ha sido ponente en, Argentina, Ecuador, Estados Unidos y Colombia. Tiene experiencia en áreas del Diseño Industrial y la industria Gráfica. Actualmente es profesor asociado II a tiempo completo en la Tadeo.
