This paper aims to show the applicability of experimental methodology in corporate strategy research. To meet this goal, experimental methodology is defined, its benefits and drawbacks are highlighted and its use in the realm of corporate strategy is addressed. Literature was reviewed about definitions of experimental methodology and about its use in the field of corporate strategy. This paper shows the usefulness of experimentation as a research methodology, highlights its complementarity with other methodologies and illustrates its range of applications to a variety of topics. In addition, it highlights its potential application in the most recent research topics in the field of corporate strategy
