A estrutura do “setor do sexo” no sudeste asiático. Uma realidade poliédrica

Este artigo estuda, mediante uma análise sistemática, os elementos mais significativos da indústria do sexo no sudeste asiático. Entre eles destacamos, em primeiro lugar, sua complexa organização, sofisticação, diversificação e estruturação; a sua relação com a feminização da pobreza, as migrações e as minorias étnicas, o tráfico sexual e o turismo sexual crescente. Em segundo lugar, falaremos sobre sua clientela, a estrutura demográfica jovem e o acesso ao mercado da prostituição a idades muito precoces. Seguidamente faremos alusão às desigualdades de gênero, as crenças socioculturais, religiosas e ao imaginário social coletivo. A seguir incidiremos nas “prostituições” (diretas ou indiretas), a ideia da escolha e os limites em sua produção estatística. Por último, terminamos com uma proposta orientada a enriquecer o debate e proporcionar vias facilitadoras para encarar o fenômeno a partir da perspectiva dos direitos humanos.Downloads
